Tempest X Conversion
The Tempest X is a Mid Size wheelchair accessible vehicle built on the standard height, 136" wheelbase Ram Promaster chassis. This unit is an option for those wheelchair users needing a little more room than what a wheelchair accessible minivan offers, but not needing the extra headroom or storage of the X-HT and XL-HT models. This version model is six inches longer than a Dodge Grand Caravan, so Tempest considers it to be a mid-size wheelchair van. Don't be fooled though. The amount of interior space available is surprising. The Tempest X conversion features a sliding door opening height of 58", which is more than most wheelchair accessible minivans.
Tempest X-HT Conversion
The Tempest X-HT is a full-size handicap accessible conversion van that features a raised roof from the factory and is built on the 136" Ram Promaster chassis. The Tempest X-HT conversion features a 68" sliding door opening height. This conversion is the next step up in size from the Tempest X and is ideal for those needing extra door opening height and headroom.
Tempest XL-HT Conversion
The Tempest XL-HT is Tempest's largest conversion for a RAM ProMaster wheelchair van. The XL-HT conversion features a raised roof from the factory and is built on the 159" wheelbase Ram ProMaster chassis. The longer wheelbase translates to more interior space for users or storage. The Tempest XL-HT conversion features a 68" sliding door opening height. This conversion is ideal for those needing extra door opening height, headroom, and storage.
